HELlenic
Airborne Reserve union was established in 2001 by retired and
reserve airborne troops who could not resist to go on jumping the
military way . HELARU constitution includes military jumps with the Greek Airborne Forces, Airborne Forces of other Nations, exchange of wings and reenacting of historical airborne operations (in Greece they are Korinth, Krete, Samos, Leros and maybe Kos) Members of HELARU can be, regardless of their nationality, those with a military brevet (diploma of successful training in an Airborne school) or any other institution that trains with round canopies and has at least one jump in the last 24 months(tandem counts, parapente does not). HELARU members have all privileges so far they have paied their subscription for the calendar year of the date. HELARU has a 9 member board , President is ret Lt General Trahanatzis Konstantinos (SF, ABN, RNGR, UDT), secretary is Dr Liolios Alexandros and treasurer the businessman Papadopoulos Theodoros. All board members are active and current. Operations organized by HELARU are announced to fellow paras of the world so that they can participate in order to promote brotherhood among paras of the world and give peace a chance. HELARU has joined the Panehellenic Federation of Special Forces reserves (President ret. LTGeneral GALINOS Athanasios) and the joined forces look forward to better and massive veteran airborne operations. HELARU is in brotherhood ties with the Greek Navy Reserve Seals (U.D.T Underwater Demolitions Teams) and organize operations with exciting content. BALKAN FRIENDSHIP
JUMP 2010
BANJA LUKA , 24-28 JUNE 2010
Under the auspices of the
President of the Republic of Srpska His Excellency Academician Rajko
Kuzmanović the Balkan Friendship Jump 2010 is taking place in the Banja
Luka area in the period of June 24-28. June 28th is the National Day of
Republic of Srpska.
The BFJ 2010 starts on the 24th at 18:00 hrs. You can reach BL via
Beograd or Zagreb. A transfer bus is to be arranged to and from Beograd
(the bus is OK but the cost is to be shared .As soon as we know the
number the price will be final).
BFJ 2010 program includes 3 jumps with PD 08 3U or wing chute from 1000,
1500 and 2000 meters (weather allowing); extra jumps at a fee. Flying
platform can be AN-2, MIL Mi-8.
BFJ 2010 offers accommodation in the center of BL, double occupancy in
hotel, breakfast, lunch and dinner, award ceremony banquet and new wings
of the airborne. Sightseeing is planned but jumping is a priority.
BFJ 2010 ends on the 28th at 22:00 hrs (overnight included).
Our host will be the Special Police Unit (Ministry of Interior).
The cost for participating is 650 Euros (all inclusive). No
modifications. Please announce your intention to participate to info@helaru.gr
or alexandlio@gmail.com. All dues are to be paid by June 10th 2010.
After this date no refund of money. No guarantee about weather
conditions but statistics are on our side.
You are supposed to show up with your National BDU and all the insignia
you are allowed to wear.
HELARU is in cooperation with authorities in Banja Luka and Republic of
Srpska and it is going to be a great jump.
